Rotary's Vision Statement:
“Together, we see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change — across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.”
Rotary is an international service organization made up of people who share a passion for and commitment to enhancing communities and improving lives across the world. Rotary clubs exist in almost every country. Our members change lives locally and connect with other clubs to work on international projects that address today’s most pressing challenges. Being a member is an opportunity to take action and make a difference, and it brings personal rewards and lifelong friendships in the process.
Rotary's #1 Global Service Project:
Rotary launched the global fight against polio in 1985 and since then has helped immunize more than 2.5 billion children. Rotary is the key advocate, source of volunteers, and fundraiser for the Global Polio Eradication Initiative. Along with our partners, UNICEF, the World Health Organization, the CDC and the support of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, we are very close to eradicating polio. No child anywhere is safe until every child is vaccinated.
Rotary membership represents a cross-section of the community's business and professional men and women. Rotary clubs are nonpolitical, nonreligious, and open to all cultures, races, and creeds.
The Rotary Club of Donelson-Hermitage, chartered in 1960, has lunch twice monthly at Party Fowl in Donelson. Our club also gathers frequently for fellowship and service projects.
