DESCRIPTION:Featured speaker Antoinette Welch is the Director of Investigations for Tennessee's Department of Health. She has Investigators stationed in 7 offices across the state who investigate complaints made against health care practitioners as well as pain clinics.  The complaints range from drug diversion\, to sex abuse\, to over prescribing and to gross negligence.  Prior to her current position with the State of Tennessee\, she served 14 years with the Metro Nashville Police Department and then served 8 years an Assistant District Attorney\, in Nashville.  Antoinette is the founder of a nationally recognized program the Hannah Project\, an intervention program for victims of prostitution and sex trafficking which has now become a national model.  The Hannah Project was featured in 4 (four) documentaries and the bestselling book\, A Path Appears : Transforming Lives\, Creating Opportunity by Sheryl WuDunn and Nicholas D. Kristof.  In 2015 Antoinette spoke about The Hannah Project at a TEDx conference.   She is happily married and has 2 children.
